As a family, we took the Listerine 21 Day Challenge to brush, floss, and use Listerine Ultraclean twice a day for 21 days. Well, time is up and how did we do?
I think the kids did great – I’ve really noticed a difference in their smiles. Since I have older kids, I don’t have to remind them to brush that often. They have the habit already and do a pretty good job. I think using Listerine more regularly is going to help them set the habit, as they move into their adult years.
Jamey, though… He’s got some sensory issues and getting his teeth brushed when it’s not his idea is not always the easiest. But, with his Phineas and Ferb toothbrush and rinse, it was a little easier to get him in the mood, so to speak. We actually had to put his toothbrush up during the day to keep him away from it! We also started keeping small cups in the bathroom to make it easier for everyone to use Listerine.
And how did I do? Well, I’m working on it. I started packing one of the toothbrushes I received from Listerine in my bag for work, so I could brush my teeth after lunch. I have a flosser in my purse. I still need to see a dentist for the first time in mumblemumble years, but I feel a little better about the state of my mouth.
I want to thank Listerine and The Motherhood for including me in this campaign. It’s been eye opening to see how much the right products can help you keep your mouth clean and healthy, even when you don’t have health insurance. I was provided with products and compensation from the Johnson & Johnson Healthcare Products Division of McNEIL-PPC, Inc. and The Motherhood as part of my participation in the LISTERINE® 21 Day Challenge.
