Menu Plan Monday!
Chicken Noodle Soup. Because I didn’t make it today. Cost: around $20 for 20 quarts. I’m perfectly okay with that high cost, because we’ll eat on it for at least 3 days.
I cooked the noodles separately from the chicken/broth/veggies. Tomorrow, I’m going to add a wild rice blend to it to make a chicken and wild rice soup. With either fresh bread, rolls, or possibly cornbread. This came out great. 🙂 Everyone was happy, and Mama was happy because all the soup was gone.
Wednesday: is grocery shopping day.
Herb Roasted Turkey Breast, roasted new potatoes, corn, yeast rolls. Since I got turkey breast for .75/lb, I’m curious to experiment with it. The turkey breast wasn’t thawed, grocery shopping took longer than I expected, etc. It was a fend for yourself.
Planned leftovers. Breakfast for dinner. Whatever odds and ends we have. I hate wasting food. Turkey breast is thawed, and the yeast rolls are rising. I have high hopes, but we’ll see.
Saturday: Party! Kids will have pizza or chicken.
Sunday: Chili mac if there’s any left. Otherwise homemade beef stroganoff.
