Salata – Perfect for Picky Palates
Sometimes, you really just want to eat something that you didn’t cook yourself.
And that you don’t have to clean up.
But it needs to be healthy and it needs to be affordable and it needs to make everyone happy. We’ve got three special diets in my house, plus hungry teenagers and picky eaters in general.
Eating out is harder than it looks.
Their concept is simple. Eat good. Look good. Feel good. Their menu is even simpler. They sell wraps, salads, and soups. Some locations have a greek yogurt bar, also.
You pick your protein, you pick your ingredients, and your food is made right in front of you. Want more cucumber than tomato? Want to mix their buttermilk ranch and spicy chipotle ranch? Just ask. No extra charge.
My husband and I were able to try out this lovely souped up salad bar this week, courtesy of two free coupons. It’s hard to find places that please both of us, and don’t leave us hungry in an hour, but Salata was lovely. We both had huge salads with chicken. I only finished about half of mine but I was full enough to withstand the temptation at the movie theater right afterwards!
With 11 Houston locations, and more coming soon, put Salata on your list. I know I’ll be back. 🙂
