Menu Plan Monday! If I had the energy, I’d be embarrassed that I missed the month of March till now. I’m exhausted from volunteering at the Rodeo and all the concerts we got to see, so you’ll have to excuse my absence. 🙂
Monday: Pasta day! Frozen ravioli on markdown ($2), pasta sauce made with cheap tomatoes and red sauce and good hamburger meat ($2.50), with a side salad ($2) and garlic bread if I make it to the store ($1.50). Cheap, easy and good. Cost: About $8.
Tuesday: Taco Tuesday! Soft tacos, spanish rice, and refried beans. Ground beef is $4, tortillas $1, cheese $.50, sour cream $.50 and veggies $1. Rice, rotel, and refried beans were free with coupons. Cost will be about $7.
Wednesday: Crockpot meal! Beef Strogan-not. Cheap stew beef, cooked all day with beef broth, mushrooms, onion and garlic. Served with rice or pasta, plus sour cream for everyone who’s not my picky husband. 😀 Cost: Under $5.
Thursday: New Recipe Day! I haven’t found one that just makes my skirt fly up, but I’ll edit when I find something.
Friday: Freezer Meal! Pork chops, marinated with green chili sauce, braised in the oven. Serve with mashed potatoes or whatever looks good. Cost will be right at $5.
Saturday: Fend for yourself/clean out the fridge/freezer day.
Sunday: Soup and sandwiches.
