I would love to say that I thought long and hard about publishing this, but I didn’t. A company is preying on deal bloggers and deal seekers, and it needs to stop. I’ve promoted some deals from SaveMore before on this site, but those posts are gone, gone, gone.
People are not getting what they received. In some cases, they’re not receiving what they ordered, and in others, they’re not getting anything at all.
SaveMore is deleting comments and banning people who they feel are “spamming” their wall. Asking about things you’ve paid for is not spamming, by the way. Nor is it against Facebook’s Terms and Conditions.
I have 3 outstanding vouchers with them, and I won’t be using them since in all 3 cases, something isn’t quite right.
For example, this reusable bag store is trying to charge me tax on the price before coupon. No, no, playa. That’s not how we roll in Texas. Since this is a Texas based company, they should know better. I emailed them on Sunday and have yet to receive a reply. Their bad.
I received my collapsible vases, but it took forever. Really. And all they are is little plastic envelopes. They’re pretty enough, but not nice enough for anything more than a Dirty Santa exchange. Not nearly the quality that I was expecting.
And come to find out, via the grapevine ( I love me some vine), that a very determined researcher, Danielle has found out even more. Like that the companies that SaveMore is promoting belong to them. So they’re not really a deal site. They’re a failed lending company with a deal site side business.
All of the documentation that I received, the research done by Danielle is just… amazing. Really and truly, it is. She got down to the ownership of the various companies, the management and their issues, and when she addressed her concerns to SaveMore on their Facebook page? They banned her.
I’m calling bullsh*t. You don’t do that as a company. You want to know how many people I’ve banned from my Facebook page? Just one. And I tend to piss people off. What can I say? It’s a gift.
Y’all know, I don’t want anyone to get scammed. Least of all me. People aren’t getting their stuff. Companies only have 30 days to send you your stuff. If not, they have to contact you. You’re not supposed to have to go tracking down your stuff. That’s the law.
They have a rating of F with the Better Business Bureau. Multiple bad reviews on Ripoff Report. *Had to edit for factual error*
Leave this site alone.
Now, if you have purchased from them and not received your goods, here’s what you need to do:
1. You can try to email SaveMore and get them to refund your money.
2. You can open a dispute with the credit card company that you used, or PayPal. Keep in mind that you only have so long to do that, based upon your payment method.
3. You can tell your friends. Share this post. Warn people that this site is not legit.
4. You can report them to the Texas Office of the Attorney General.
5. You can submit a complaint to the FTC.
PS – I love comments. You know I do. But if you’re rude and snarky, you’d better be entertaining. Because my can of TrollBGone is full, and I’m not in the mood.
