How many papers are on your list?
This week, in Houston, we’re getting 2 inserts, a Red Plum and a Smart Source. I’m buying 6 papers, just for the Unilever coupons. Unilever only puts out coupons around once a quarter, and I love me some sweet tea. I’ll have the most pertinent coupons up when I get home. 🙂 Sorry folks, I’m eating crawfish and doing this on the fly.
I’ll be back tonight!
How many are you buying?

Christina, I goofed. This is last week’s preview. I’ll have the right post up when I get home!

I bought a total of 4 (2 on Saturday and 2 on Sunday) and much to my surprise I got double the inserts in my paper on Sunday…I’ve rarely ever seen a La Voz section in my Sunday paper but am so glad I went to a different Valero to get them 😀

I’ve seen them double inserted in Katy. I guess it depends on where you go! I found one La Voz, saw that they didn’t have the Unilever, and didn’t bother looking for them again. 🙂
Also, if you bulk cut, the coupons are in different positions in each set of inserts! Ask me how I know!

I noticed that! At first I thought I was going nuts and then the hubby noticed it when I made him help cut. I usually don’t bulk cut and find it somewhat relaxing to sit there and cut them. Weird huh? Gives me something to do while he is watching sports hehe
Kristin says
No, when I only had a few papers, I individually cut them. 🙂 Not weird at all.

I bought 2 on Saturday and will print off some on my computer as well. I am in no way an extreme couponer, I just need to save a few bucks to meet our grocery budget for 7 people and 1 on the way!

I started out with 2 papers, then moved to 1 per person. Then, on weeks where there was going to be a coupon for something we used, I would buy more. Of course, that was before the dollar stores around here stopped carrying the Houston Chronicle…

hey guys i just wanted to let you know that walmart matches ads! I now that sounds like a pain but it is well worth it! I went to food town because they had the bug spray hot shot listed for .88 and I used a coupon for 1.00 off! I did not realize that food town only gives it to you for free! Not that I really need bug spray but it was nice to get for free. The following week or so I went to walmart because I knew they matched ad prices when food town had their hair gel (la looks) on sale for .88 cents and I again had a 1.00 off coupon. After asking about their coupon policy I was able to make .12 cents off each bottle I bought. So if you can get it free that is wonderful I am all for free. But if you can find the same product at walmart and get it for the sale price then make money on top of that then that is even better. I am a nursing student paying out of pocket with 2 children so I am all for making money to shop! Good luck and I love this site thanks!!!

Yes, Walmart does price match ads. I don’t do a whole lot of pricematching, because it’s a pain in the @$$, but if you’re doing several things, I say go for it. 🙂
