You guys! I am so excited to be featured on Houston Life talking Cyber Monday!
I’ll be talking what to buy, what not to buy and how to set a budget!
Kohl’s often offers $10 in Kohl’s Cash when you spend $50. BUT for Black Friday, it’s $15/$50! It’s a great time to rack up some savings! Plus, with their new buy online, pick up in store program, you can even get your stuff as soon as next day! You don’t even have to wait for the mailman!
Here’s what I’m looking at:
In case you haven’t noticed, I’m a sucker for kitchen gadgets, gizmos, and equipment. I LOVE my Food Network equipment, and this cast iron enameled pot is no exception. At only $39.99 after rebate, you can get more than one!
These 1000 count sheets look so silky and soft. Sheets that are fully elasticized, King size, AND are reasonably priced are rare, but these Grand Collection 1000-Thread Count Scranton Pleat Cotton Rich 6-pc. Sheet Sets are on my list!
And if you HAVE to buy something for someone else, you can start with these great toy deals! This Little Tikes Easy Score Basketball Hoop Set would be so great for your little athlete. At $24.99 this is a great deal!

I cook a big meal every year. This year, instead of waiting til the last minute to make my list, compare prices on the fly, and have to make additional trips, I did a big shopping list.
I listed every component of every dish I was making on the left side. On the right side, I listed the best prices for the items. Where there’s a blank, I didn’t see an advertised price, so I’ll buy it at my last stop.
Are you a planner? Do you host Thanksgiving? Am I the only one going out of her mind? 😉
So, I don’t publish Target regularly on my blog any longer, but I’m still keeping track of the sales.
This week, you can get a $10 gift card when you spend $50 at Target on groceries. This is a decent deal when you realize you will be saving 20% right off the top, but can still use manufacturer coupons.
The things I am buying are specific to my meal plan (post pending), what I have in my stockpile, and anticipated grocery sales. I will probably wait until Wednesday to go shopping at Target so I can take a look at the sales at Sprouts and HEB.
Here is my plan:
2 6-8 lb turkey breasts @ 1.39/lb = $8.34 – $11.12
2 10-11 lb ham @ 1.69/lb = $16.90 – $18.56
Spend: $50.48 – $59.36, get $10 gift card back
OR Use your Red Card and spend $48.08 and get $10 gift card back.
I want to stick to the smaller size to get the best value, but this is only the beginning.
You could roll that $10 gift card into another deal to reduce your out of pocket. You could save it for Christmas Shopping. Or just hang on to it.
