It is time for a serious pantry challenge. My fridge and freezer are full to overflowing and I need to make room for Thanksgiving prep! So, we’ll be eating out of the fridge and freezer until next Wednesday as much as possible, and not bringing more food in unless it’s for Thanksgiving! For this plan, pizza and “fend for yourself” are interchangeable. Occasionally, someone will want to cook something even when I have designated it a fend for yourself.
Items not from the pantry:
Fritos
Celery
Carrots
Hamburger Buns
Monday: Chili and rice. 🙂 Filling and seasonally appropriate.
Tuesday: Middle child has an event at school so we will have frito pie.
Wednesday: Chicken noodle soup. We got a rotisserie chicken on Sunday and I will make stock with the carcass in the InstantPot.
Thursday: I will be in class, but the rest of the family will have leftovers or breakfast for dinner.
Friday: Tilapia, broccoli, and rice.
Saturday: Freezer buffet OR sandwiches and soup.
Sunday: Dinner out.
Monday: Pulled pork and french fries.
Tuesday: Broccoli chicken pasta with sun dried tomatoes and smoked mozzerella.
Wednesday: Fend for yourself.
