Over at my friend Milehimama’s blog, the lobbyists are out in full force. She said it much better, and with greater research than I would, but what it boils down to is this: If you’re getting paid to say something, own it. Admit that you did a positive review for what looks like $100 in Walmart gift cards. Be honest!

Apparently, I was posting deals to my rant blog. Sorry about that.

I love the holidays.

I love the sales, I love the deals, I love buying things that my family needs/wants/desires at a deep deep discount.

Great deals this week:

Beauty and the Beast at Toys R Us: Buy 2 copies, use two manufacturer’s coupons, and receive the tea cart for free. That’s a 24.99 value free! Kristin at Couponing to Disney has a great write up here. I love having extra copies of movies for really cheap. Great Christmas presents for kids of all ages. 🙂

Don’t forget to preorder your copy of Toy Story 3!

Randalls is pretty lackluster, in general, but if you’ve been loading your shortcuts.com and cellfire.com coupons, you can get quite a few freebies. My list includes Chex Mix, Pillsbury Sweet Moments, Kix, and probably a few other things.

Don’t get sucked in by the buy one, get one free deals, especially if it’s more than you would pay for meat anyway! $2 a lb is a good solid rule.

Kroger’s Mega Deal is back, and I’m glad to see it! Nothing is incredible, but next week might be! Kraft shredded cheese is $1.99, so if you printed the $5/5 coupon, you could net pretty cheap cheese and free cream cheese.

I may shop at Randalls from time to time, but Kroger is my “home” store. I found Toy Story 3 toys for 75% off this weekend. I got a couple duplicates for my “Christmas Stash”, but most of them will be for Jamey’s birthday or Christmas.

I should take a picture of my haul but it’s in the other room. Maybe next time.
